Meet Our Renzo Gracie Of Weston Academy Instructors
Adrian Alsina has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2013. In that time, Adrian has not only become a student of the sport but a competitor as well. Having participated in numerous tournaments all around the country earning multiple medals in the IBJJF, Newbreed, NAGA, ABC (American BJJ Championship), and grappling industries. He has also participated in professional matches such as the well-known live event Fight to Win where he currently has no losses. Adrian received his blue belt from Wilson Gouveia, a UFC veteran, and trained MMA under him for 2 years. He currently studies under his coach and Mentors Stan Beck, who received his black belt directly from Renzo Gracie himself. Besides his experience with Jiu-Jitsu, Adrian also holds a 3rd-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do under the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) and a blue belt in Judo. Adrian's life goal is to help all of his students achieve their own goals, whether they be fitness, self-defense skills, disciple, or becoming a World Champion.
Allan has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past 11 years, since 2011, and is currently a brown belt in the sport. He coaches the fundamental and drilling classes at Renzo Gracie Weston and has been training at our academy for the past 6 years, since 2015. He has competed in IBJJF, Fight To Win, NAGA, New Breed, and various other tournaments. Winning, losing, and most definitely learning, while always focused on improving himself. He enjoys to roll and spar at a high intense pace, either getting ready for a tournament himself or helping his teammates prepare for one. Putting a huge focus on teamwork, positive attitude, and continues to grind to improve. He is incredibly passionate about the sport of jiu jitsu and the martial art aspect that comes along with it. His goals are to always improve his game, and help those new to the sport to understand it for the sake of self-defense and building confidence. When he is not training he is hanging out with his girlfriend, a jiu jitsu enthusiast as well, and his two dogs; a German Shepherd named Jitsu and an Australian Shepherd named Kimura. Lauren has been training Brazilian jiu jitsu for 6 years and is a purple belt in the sport. She is the coach of the women's classes at Renzo Gracie Weston and has been training at our academy for 4 years. She has competed in numerous New Breed, NAGA and IBJJF tournaments, placing first on several occasions. Her favorite positions include mount and side control and she is known for her pressure game and lapel chokes. She is very passionate about jiu jitsu and her goal is to continue growing the presence of women in the sport. When she's not training, she is hanging out with her dogs, Jitsu and Kimura.
Stan Beck has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years and has trained with many of the world’s top-ranked mixed martial arts competitor’s, himself becoming champion in numerous N.A.G.A. and Grappler’s Quest events and is a two time medalist at the prestigious World Masters Championships. Stan has studied directly under Renzo Gracie for over 20 years and has also trained extensively in many other martial arts styles and disciplines including Shotokan Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing and Jeet Kune Do.
