Stan Beck
Owner and Head Instructor
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Stan Beck has been training in the martial arts for over 28 years and has trained with many of the world’s top-ranked mixed martial arts competitor’s, himself becoming champion in numerous N.A.G.A. and Grappler’s Quest events. Stan has studied directly under Renzo Gracie for over 13 years and has also trained extensively in many other martial arts styles and disciplines including Shotokan Karate, Kick- Boxing, Boxing and Jeet Kune Do. He now lives in Florida with his wife and two sons.
Nei Seda
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
A Rio de Janeiro native, Nei started in the martial arts at age 6, initially with Judo, achieving the rank of green belt.
After moving to Barra, he had his first contact with Jiu Jitsu in 1988. Nei started his training with the legend Master Romero “Jacare” Cavalcanti, who was one of the first students of Rolls Gracie. Nei later transferred to Alexandre “Gigi” Paiva’s school as a instructor. Alexandre was part of the first generation of Jacare’s students and had invited Nei to be his assistant because he was considered to be one of his most technical students. Nei has competed in several tournaments and competitions winning several state and national titles. He earned his black belt in 1998.
Nei is now training and teaching at the Renzo Gracie Academy in Weston, where he resides.

Juan Rodriguez
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Juan Rodriguez is the coach of our kids and juniors programs which ranging from ages 4 to 15. Juan is absolutely passionate about improving the lives of children and helping them to develop into mature, confident, healthy, and successful adults. Many of his students have greatly improved their grades, developed confidence and self-esteem, learned discipline, and have gone on to successful careers.
Juan is most well known for his laid back, simple step-by-step, detailed instruction on techniques, positions, and technical game on the mats.
Juan grew up in Venezuela with a burning interest in physical challenges and a strong competitive spirit. At the age of 10, Juan’s natural drive towards intense physical sports led him to pursuit a variety of martial arts. When he came across Jiu Jitsu in 2007, it became clear to him he had finally found his niche in the intricate and complex world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
As it commonly happens when people start training, Juan became consumed in the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle and quickly moved up the ladder under the guidance of Professor Stan Beck. He is currently a purple belt and continues to improve his craft to achieve his ultimate goal of becoming a Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.

Joseph Berrones
Joseph Berrones is known as one of the top fitness professionals in the country! Combine a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science + Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) with his raw, ‘lets get down and dirty’ approach, you find that he tends to draw large crowds wherever he goes! People all agree that there is just something ‘addicting’ about Joseph! He is passionate about FULL BODY FITNESS, no muscle left out, not even the teeny-tiny ones, Joseph will find them! There is one thing about Joseph most will come to know, that being his passion, ultra marathon running. When people think a ‘long run’ they tend to think a 5k, 13.1 or maybe even 26.2 miles. Joseph often sets out at 9pm for a run and doesn’t return home until the sun comes up! If you want energy, passion, devotion, professionalism and most importantly RESULTS; Joseph Berrones will be a name you get to know very well!
Patrick O’Reilly
Muay Thai Boxing
Patrick O’Reilly began learning the art of Muay Thai in the summer of 2006. In 2009, after years of hard work and dedication, Patrick entered in a series of amateur Muay Thai fights. It was at this time that his training took a turn towards a career in mixed martial arts. While training under Stan Beck at the Renzo Gracie Academy of Weston, Patrick has competed as a grappler and is now looking to make the leap into a professional career.
Throughout his years of training, Patrick has worked with a variety of teachers and has developed a unique teaching style. While being able to teach highly effective techniques, Patrick has never lost his passion for keeping the traditional techniques and principles of Muay Thai alive.
As an instructor, it is his mission to help all students set personal goals for themselves and achieve. While sticking to the principles and disciplines of Muay Thai, Patrick also creates a fun and exciting class.
Whether you aim to fight professionally, get into top shape, or learn self defense tactics, Patrick’s teaching methods are sure to keep you interested, motivated, and most definitely excited.
Raul Alvarez
Boxing
Raul has trained in the martial arts for over 18 years earning a Fourth Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. During that time he has assisted in developing several of the most successful Taekwondo schools of South Florida. He has taught many styles of training ranging from Taekwondo, Cardio Kickboxing, and Close-Quarter Hand to Hand Combat. In 1998 he finished his 2nd Degree tournament circuit and ranked #1 in both Forms and Sparring and earned his goal medal and title 1998 World Champion. Raul is also a “Phase B Certified Krav-Maga Worldwide Instructor”, with knowledge of basic and advanced self defense techniques. He has a record of 1-0 in his Amateur MMA career and is currently working towards his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Raul’s best attribute would be his dynamic and positive mental attitude with his students.

Santos has had a very lengthy and successful wrestling career. Spanning over 30 in competing and teaching, Santos has competed against the very best in the nation as well as teaching his students to reach a level they never thought possible.

Santos like to say that he is “dedicated to developing and maximizing the skills of wrestlers of every level. My Goal is to provide a complete training and development outlet where my experience can provide the instruction and insight to give the advantage needed to build a successful student or competitor.“
Carol Beck
Yoga
Carol is a certified yoga instructor, registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT), with an advanced certification from Jimmy Barkan. A life long athlete, Carol first began yoga in Vancouver as cross training for running and martial arts.
As a yoga teacher, Carol’s intention is to empower her students to explore their abilities, listen to their own inner wisdom, and to create a strong mind/body awareness that can be used both on and off the mat. With an emphasis on building a strong foundation, finding your “edge” and honoring the body, Carol brings a positive energy to her classes, giving her students the space to challenge and enjoy their practice. (without taking themselves too seriously).
